migi kata ni murasaki choucho

I watch you as your eyelashes flutter like the wings of a butterfly

Smiling slyly, you tilt your head and catch my gaze through the wisps of your ebony hair

Teasing, taunting

kisu o shita kono heya no sumi de

The feelings are like particles of a dream

Dispersed throughout my body even to its furthest corners

Everywhere, nowhere

setsunai to iu kanjou o shiru

Your hands trace my body and pull away quickly like nervous minnows

Although I am used to this it still stings like broken glass

Sharp, painful

hibiku piano

Your words resonate inside my head but I push them out

I refuse to meet the taunting gaze of your ebony eyes

I am a broken butterfly

To love is to be vulnerable; Triumph is born out of struggle; We notice shadows most when they stand alone in the midst of overwhelming light.

This is absolutely, beautiful and sad too. It's filled with emotion and feeling and beauty and rawness and you put a part of yourself in your poem. You have talent and greatness and light and a beauty that is your own; and so much more. You're also, a a wonderful and beautiful and amazing and talented writer and person. I look forward to reading more of your work. Thank you for sharing this, my friend. :)
