sweetheart, there’s just
something in how your teeth
sink into the swell of your
lower lip, a sheath of soft butter
and petals

and the way your skin
ruches into laughter
around your eyes
like someone has taken the drawstrings
of your smile
and created a violin

intoxicating in the
map of your hands like
rough stone and a gentle touch
slipping water like sweet, cool
enthralling white jewels

breathtaking in the
curve of your neck like
a slope of snow afresh
the golden dappling, clean
and light

there’s something in the
plane of your stomach
with orchid’s candor and
yearning warmth
like hearths with honeyed ember

the way your eyes rise
like starry drinks tipped in
watercolor mornings
and capture the breath
of penned in winds

dizzying in your call of
the charisma sung in voice
like the sweep of creamy lace
in curtsy and the
gentleman’s crisp-silver bow

dear, there’s something in
the simple pulse of two inch
ribbons circling your chest and
the way you walk like you don’t
see any of this at all.

I teared up a bit there... Wow... There are no words to describe this talent.
