I know my world is not real

I know this because:

One day I found a ladder standing
Straight up
Unsupported

I climbed it

And tapped on the sky

Sitting on a cloud with my feet on

The top step of the ladder

I tap
      Tap
           Tapped on the sky

I know my world is not real

I know this because I spoke with

The wind and danced in its arms

I drove onto a sunbeam and then

I let the sun hug me and I slept in

Its warm embrace

    Sleep
             Sleep
                      Sleeping
 

Awake

And tired
             Tired of living in a world of

                                                 Fake reality

I know this world is not real

But will it let me go?

                              Let go
                                          Let go

                                                     Let go of me world

I climbed up that ladder supported

By nothing

And longing for my world to make

Sense

Bit into the cloud that

Once held me up

          And I bang
                              Bang
                                             BANGED
Against that sky that makes no

Sense

Until it broke open

Then my ladder began to
                                      Tilt

And that cloud started

To disperse

                dissipate

The sky cracking

                        Open

Rather than fall with the
                                 Timbering ladder

I jumped

Pushed off

With my feet and trying

To glide

I began my slow

                                Descent
                     

                     Hoping I'd crash into
                             

                            A world that
                           

                            Makes sense...
