the shades of heaven
are pulling close
Evening Settles
a dazzling array of color
Spangles
as the light gently fades
as the darkness greedily swallows
bejeweled in gleaming
Diamonds
like an elegant nighttime ballgown.

soothe
sleep my soul
sleep sweetly
