"Anger is like a ball of fire, but if you swallow it, it's sweeter than honey"-Imam Ali

First glance at me and you see OPPRESSION tattooed on my forehead

They sigh
“Oh, their kind”

First glance at me and you think does she wrap up her insecurities and choke down her words with that towel on her head

They laugh
“Oh, their kind”

First glance at my mother and you think she’s become a slave to male dominant culture without an escape

They say
“Oh their kind”

First glance at my brother and you think he must be abusive like his father

They whisper
“Oh, their kind”

First glance at my father and you think he’s a terrorist without no heart in his chest and no brain in his head

They shiver
“Oh, their kind”

First glance at my family and you think, it’s all their fault for the tragedies in America

They yell
“Oh, their kind”

First glance at the way the world deals with all these accusations and discrimination

I laugh                                                                         And laugh                                                                     And laugh                                                                     “Oh, your blind”

There are many sinners in this world, but how could one sinner define a whole relgion? It's impossible, yet people tend to think this way which is very wrong. Islam is a clean and respectful relgion that does not tolerate violence, for why should it's people be defined as violent? Why should their women be labeled oppressed when they are valued more in Islam than other religions. Why should a girl's choice to cover up define her state of happiness? It is very wrong, not with just Islam but for every relgion and race to be discrimiated. Society and the media need to teach everyone that it is wrong to think so closeminded like.
