Promise me

Promise me,
he tells me so calmly.
Dont ask why, just promise me.
A tear rolls down my face
and I whisper my reply.
He begs me not to worry,
tells me he always loved me,
and asks me to never forget about him.
I try to be brave.
I try to make him think Im fine
but i cant get his voice out of my head.
...promise me...
It echos threw my mind.
Why?
I ask
Why do you have to do this?
but he has no reply
