"I'm a survivor. I'm not going to give up. I'm not going to stop. I'm going to work harder."

Many, many nights of mine were spent in tears and misery.
Looking at the finish line then back at what we use to be.
How can I build anew when you and I have so much history?
Debating if I really love you or familiarity.
Knew that I was free to go which opened up the door for me,
But, although my feet would move, I couldn't force my heart to leave.
Couldn't force my mind to see--
Past the curves of our memories
And balance itself out with the edges of our realty.
If we promised Forever we would see him in a bit,
Then our condition got unfit
Is it better to altogether forefeit the trip?
Or get halfway and then quit?

Because, either way, we stand no chance in making it.

When we only looked strong--

We were just as fragile as the sand we used to build our foundation with.

I love the rhythm in this piece! It flows so smoothly. The line "debating if I really love you or familiarity" hit me pretty hard, very powerful and raw. Excellent job!
