Ana's Voice

There's cake upstairs
Just one more page

I'm losing hair
But can you feel your rib cage?

I've lost 10 pounds
Be safe- five more

Can everyone hear these sounds?
Calm down, you're such a bore

These pants don't fit anymore
Keep them, you'll be that small again soon

What didn't you answer my texts for?
Maybe he'll notice if you lose 10 pounds by next June

Sofia has lost weight
You can lose more

My mom always said to clean my plate
What do YOU need all of that food for?

I can feel my ribs
You're just small-boned

My leggings are too baggy
It's called being toned

No one cares how much I weigh
Skinny people are more likable

I need to grow up, this is child's play
You need to be unrecognizable

Should I take the tape measure out of my bathroom?
No, the only numbers acceptable over 30 are ACT scores

I want to die but not look fat in the tomb
The choice is completely yours.

This was abosolutely brilliant. Like even barin the skill presented by your words, the format of your poetry was beautiful. The italizied versuses regulat print lines read like two seperate poems, but still synthesize wonderfully together.
