"Stop all the pain you're causing and have hope!" ~By me!

The monster that spreads all over the world
Leaving broken hearts and destroyed dreams
This creature is reckless
This creature is heartless
It will chew you up and spit you out

Beware that it's name will bring a curse to you
Many want it
Many have it
Many lost it
I warn you it might be a prize or a curse
I recomend staying away
Unless you want to be hurt

It is like a contest
You wont win
But also you will
You need to play your cards right to do so

You win once and never again
No second chances for this
This is beautiful disease is called love

Ad Fontes! It is Italian for "To the Source".

I love how you protray love as an disease that everyone wants, but almost always gets hurt by. I do like how you also say there is a tiny hope of not being hurt. Overall a great poem.

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.

It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant,
gorgeous, handsome, talented and fabulous?

Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.

Your playing small does not serve the world.
There is nothing enlightened about shrinking
so that other people won't feel insecure around you.
We are all meant to shine, as children do.

We were born to make manifest the glory of God within us.
It is not just in some; it is in everyone.

And, as we let our own light shine, we consciously give
other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our fear,
our presence automatically liberates others."
Marianne Williamson

I liked it. I love the rhyming. Also you kept me wondering what the "disease" was until the very end.
