We met on that bright sunny day
I will never forget the smile on your face
I was alone, and you came my way
Ever since that day, I've memorized
Your smile, your eyes, and you
I do not know what to do
I thought it’d be you

Then you faded, slowly
Out of the blue
You have stopped smiling when I walked by,
Your eyes have stopped glistening when I said “hi”
I was losing you, and don’t know why

I wonder what I did to push you away
Was I coming on too strong?
Did it seem wrong?
I wish I showed you that song
That makes me think of you

It’s a story, a story of two people,
Who could never be
Was I too clingy?
Are you embarrassed of me?

Then I learned, you felt for another
And it broke me,
It broke me apart and it broke my heart
That stupid act, pretending to see me
Pretend, that’s all you did
Everything you did and everything you said
I was told to be careful, that you were bad news
I didn't think what they said would be true
