Blind Spot MAG
Real life never extended
further than the windshield wipers.
Real life existed only behind television screens,
never in minivans
on dirt roads by the soccer fields
off of 495.
Because we were never really lost,
we were just exploring
And we were never really late,
we were just waiting for the right time
to show up
And because she can definitely
see everything
in the right lane,
And there’s never a reason to look out
the window
until you’re tall enough to see over
the dashboard
and tell her to stop stop stop
