I watch the clock
Half past ten
Up and down the room
My eyes race the floor
My foot taps the ground
Like a metronome
My heart beats so fast
I feel it will burst
I look back at the clock
His words are jumbled
His face is blurred
I stare at the faces
Around the room
White tiles, blank walls
I can’t sit still anymore
