A number two pencil and a dream can take you anywhere.

I have entered the monster

I have intruded its hell

Mercilessly running through the gaping woods,

Under the canopy of trees,

Past the waning faces of the fallen,

Eyes bulging and heart beating,

I have entered the monster.

I have escaped the monster

I have eluded its hell

Carelessly striding through the crackling leaves,

Beneath the heat of the sun,

Past the eccentric faces of the bystanders,

Mind racing and pulse rasing,

I have escaped the monster.

I have survived the monster

I have withstood its hell

Blissfully bounding across the rushing stream,

Beside the rival I will conquer,

Past the finish that I so greatly craved,

Legs tensing and fists tighetening,

I have survived the monster.
