The Broken Man
As he stared into the sky
He thought of her
The one who made life right
The one who kept him up all night
Like a beautiful flower
Glistening in the night
Reflecting that beautiful light
So sweet yet so fragile
Broken with just a snap
Yet the scent would still remain
There he laid
Weeping in the dark
Feeling like he should fade
Remembering that time
When they spent hours together
Enjoying like it was forever
But he had let her slip out of his hands
Regretting what he had done
Taking his life for granted
He had let it wandered
She had taken it in her hand
The time she would never forget
Letting the life she had treasured
Fall into an endless abyss of darkness
Her mind had weakened
She had been broken
And she decided,
It was time to be forsaken
As he saw a shooting star fly by
He wished that he would finally meet the night
The eternal night without a light
To see her once again
And be with her to the end
And as I look back
I see the truth
Those choices we call decisions
They were already made since the beginning
and the decisions I made
They were all part of destiny
