That patters on the street
Rain is a blanket
That covers up the heat
Rain is a boat
That floats through the sky
Rain is a whisper
That whistles with a sigh
Rain is a frown
That turns into a smile
Rain is a friend
That stays near a while
Rain is a gift
That is sent from high above
Rain is peace
A peaceful dove
Rain is a cat
That sneaks in and out
Rain is our heart
What our life is all about
Rain is a blessing
When we’re through with the sleet
Rain is a song
