So You Call Me Vicious

So you call me vicious,
Though I have done you no wrong.
So you call me vicious,
Because creatures like me have been abused because the human we loved considered us strong?
So you call me vicious,
Due to a story on the news?
So you call me vicious,
Yet we're the ones who suffer from abuse.
You think you can judge me,
For what a human has done wrong.
Yet still you label me, just things like me,
As the vicious dog.
Dear human I must tell you,
That at times you are vicious too.
My kind is only labeled mean because of what you do.
You beat us and fight us and leave us to die,
Only when we defend ourselves do you cry.
We are only loyal to the one we love,
Yet we are abandoned when push comes to shove.
You see dear human there is no difference
Between you and I.
Yet you call me vicious,
So yes it is me who will die.
Dear human you are much more vicious than I
Because you cheat, steal, blame and kill.
Yet because of you I must die.
When you are no more than a dog inside.
Do not punish me for a few who are cruel,
Just because one like me was forced to duel.
So you call me vicious, dear human,
But in all honesty you too
are vicious
Much more so than me.

I was tired of my pit bull being judged when she'd done nothing wrong yet people complained simply because she is a pit so I wrote this instead of saying something else that could be regretted later on.
