dear God, please give me writer's block

whenever troubles gnaw at my insides
my hands itch to write
to vomit up the Hell that is chewing at my heart and soul
and trap the Devil on paper
but I don’t want to do that for my troubles with you
I don’t want to capture anything to do with you in a poem
because writing poetry is a sacred religion
and immortalizing you in a poem feels like a sin
so I pray for writer’s block
because I don’t want to write about you
you don’t deserve holiness
