I can see them if I try hard enough.
Little black dots, swarming red armies or behemoths that rule the world.
I wonder if they remember, if they love, if they learn
They move with purpose, a solitary figure far away from home
Having to brave huge earthquakes, sudden tsunamis, and violent tornadoes
With courage and desire, they press on for their goal
I see them coming but I let them crawl
Some born with flight others with millions of legs, their fast paced
march surprises me each time.
They stop inches in front, contemplating the newest mountain to climb
Struck in an eternity of decision, I stomp my feet
and walk away.
