through the eyes of a scar

i show you the past
and hide under your sleeves
where you slide that sharp blade
across your arm
not a soul sees me
you hide me away
starting to fade
so you create my twin
then another and another
pretty soon i have a family
living here under your sleeves
we wait here in the dark
waiting to be noticed
you put us here
so why hide us away
like you don't want us
so you keep us
the old the new
all hid under your sleeves
