Marching Band is...
July 23, 2014
Smelly sneakers,
and $40 reeds.
Sweaty hair,
and neck strap tan lines.
No cell phone for a whole week,
and no cell phone four hours a week after.
Stone faces,
and fierce responses.
Rolling when you fall down,
and getting back in line as soon as possible.
Learning a new instrument,
and hating it.
Hating your instrument,
and staying anyways, because it is that important.
Band is a lifestyle.
Once you're in it,
you're in it forever.
No turning back...
Only backwards marching.
