I told you you’d have to fight for me
because I am like an aged dandelion,
easily swayed and swept away but
I guess you didn’t hear me because
I’m slipping through your fingers
like tiny grains of sand
And that’s all I am -- I am the sand
that graces your vast ocean and
I am insignificant and small
while You are constantly a changing
flowing, sweeping tide that carries
me away and I cannot leave you, darling.
