I stand alone,
Per usual
This makes me stick out in an unpleasant way
Almost like a sore thumb
I don't belong here

Neons lights dance before my eyes and swirl around my head
As if they were mocking my loneliness
The noise was deafening
I don't listen for it

I'm in my own world
Even if I'm not king
Even if I'm losing a mental war
I'm there
And there I hear silence

Jesus Christ ( :p ) I really enjoyed this. Only critiscism is that its not neons lights it should be neon lights... This poem made me feel like I was in the middle of a street at night...back against a graffitied wall... I loved this poem.

Its always interesting to find the title word in the end of the poem or somewhere inbetween, more like a treasure hunt. My favorite part had to be the very first line because you can imagine so much in just four sylablles. Keep writing :)
