Romeo and Juliet

They acquiesced to end their lives,
For "what else is love?"
A yearning affection, a fatal attraction,
An ephemeral escape.
Montague and Capulet, sealed in a cage,
Trying to break those bars of rage.
While diabolic venom spread through the streets,
From scorn and spite, rose the black beast.
So, they mourn and weep in grief,
They dance and cavort in their sleep.
To unclip tainted wings of fate,
Enduring individuality
And immortality in death.
Caged by the casket,
Now, free as the bird.
Parting is such sweet sorrow.
