Begin with darkness
Awake in the middle of the night
Breathless
Nothing in the sky can protect you
From the dark
Begin with darkness
Stare up from a balcony
In a faraway land
As the first bit of light grabs
The horizon
A man who finally found the woman he loves
But lost her
Wait
And watch
Let the sky parade in front of you
In shifting hues
From black to blue
Everything in between
And if you wait long enough
You can watch the parade in reverse
End with darkness
