To reach endlessness

I want to sink
Into an abyss
Fold into the depths of the unknown
Of the forgotten
Dissolve into the warmth of alone
Where even shadows can not grow
Where tears can shrink and disappear with pain and sorrow.
I want numbness to fill me
To tingle up my spine
To entangle my blood and bones
like vines.
I want to be cradled in a blanket of darkness
Of soundlessness
Of endlessness
To forget twilight terrors and screams
To forget my hopes
To forget my dreams.
I want to think nothing
To see nothing
To feel nothing
To be suspended eternally in a shroud of non-existence.
I want to sink into the darkness
Unknowing of all
To be a mindless being
Falling forever to a groundless floor.

The author's comments:
To some this poem may sound very dark, or even suicidal. However i assure you it it not. This poem is about the place where I go when I want to escape and be alone. It's a place where I can just close my eyes, and forget all my troubles and my stress. This place is very personal and important to me, and I think that this poem captures it, just the way I see it.
