The Flow
Poetry is like a car wash for your conscious
Slap on some sudsy soap
scrub and scratch the stains of sanity
those suds represent everything
Your life to a “T”
You wash that off your shoulders
pull back the curtain of truth
Rinse the suds away
Dry away all those tears and fears
and reveal
All your beauty within
Let it shine like sun on sandy beaches
Let the release relieve the tension
The miles on you and the memories
they remain the same
Poetry has washed my car
sudsed it all up
rinsed to reveal the remaining me
Finally drying away my sun drop tears
Letting me shimmer with sass
I am left with my life and
To live this life I must
Run my car through the wash,
release the dirty sad deaths that glob up
leaving me blinded
Cleansing my dreams for the future
Drying to a clear and near career
Poetry is where my life starts.
