Clouds form in the sky
Hearing the crack of thunder
Lightning flashes before your eyes
Wind blows through your hair
Raindrops form
Falling into puddles under your feet
Mud is sticky with every heel to toe touch,
You run through the never ending field
Water splashes in every stomp
Covering your legs with pollen and dirt
You run and sprint,
You can’t escape
You keep trying
Until you trip and fall
Now covered,
Drenched,
With your own tears.
