My Failures
The tangles I make just keep growing
My mantra has become ‘I’m so sorry’
It’s my nature to always worry
Making faults without ever knowing
I’m always looking over my shoulder
A fighting scholar is never flawless
And yet to them some things are worthless
I wonder if someday they’ll know this
What if I’m wrong?
Just another foolish blunder
My faults run deeper than any song
My apologies louder than thunder
I love you and everything you do
I’m thankful more than anyone
But everything I do is wrong to you
Spare me, I’m gonna run
If they could see through my eyes
They’d know how much it hurts
The reason behind my cries
How much more they make them worse
I mean to do well, but sometimes it breaks
Just look at me and smile
Say someday my failure will be worthwhile
Say that everybody makes mistakes
