A Dream Is

A dream is for wishers
for tis nothing more than fantasy,
any ever fleeting image
that will never come to be.

A dream is for those who risk all
for those who want so much more
yet even though as sweet as an apple
still rotten at its core.

A dream is full of hardship
that will never go away
and you can never turn back
no matter how often you pray.

A dream is alluring
like a fish in open seas
and when it is caught
not all is as it seems.
