The ink has long since
seeped into my heart
and blackened its
bloody complexion
and the words have long since
tattooed themselves upon
my skin
and stained my arms
like coffee spilt and splattered
so now the pages have long since
been written,
yet my story seems not quite
complete,
and the sentences wrapped around my
slender fingers
have more stories to tell.
