you feel like velvet against me
and i know it's wrong
but i need you here
to help rid my mind
of every racing thought
just for a moment
so i can concentrate
on counting each purple kiss
you've planted on me instead
carve your name into my skin
so i can trace every letter
when i get lonely
to feel you next to me
a ghost in my memory
it feels wrong, but so right
when i think of you now
you're a breath of fresh air
and the one holding me under
