i can't sleep because i know you're waiting
my skin is hot
your touch is cold
my head is spinning
i've learned that screaming
doesn't mean anyone hears you

i have you to thank for bruises
only i can see
they fit right in with the rest of them

you are the worst kind of poison
you are the grey, the in-between

my chest burns with a fire
that only grows stronger
my heart is heavy
and my bones are numb
when i close my eyes
all i see is
you
