As the pale white material inflates
with hot air, they rise, and tug at our fingertips.
We heavy-heartedly release.
Floating away into the horizon,
flickering in the night,
bobbing in the paintbrush sky,
dancing on the chilled wind.
This is all for you.
As they fly away,
Their lights glitter on,
just like yours.
The lights will carry on.
