Too thug for the streets.
It's all about that thug life.

I saw you glance in my direction,
Though I barley paid you any attention.

For a split second, your eyes met mine,
The world stopped, along with it froze time.

I didn't know you, or even know why.
All I knew were those two seconds that you held my eye.

Too quick, too soon did time unfreeze,
But I didn't think too much of it, It was over in a breeze.

Still at the time, I had no idea, not even a single thought,
That my heart, in your fish net would be caught.

The day went by, and at the end of it, a group of laughing teens sparked my attention.
Curiosity running deep, I looked over in their direction.

Who would have ever known, who would have ever guessed?
That the guy who was making them laugh would have made his way into my chest.

I didn't know, and I just couldn't understand,
How a boy could ever fall for me, I thought it was all a scam.

At the time I didn't believe in love, for once I had fallen too hard, because I was too weak.
But that only ended with him stabbing my heart, his knife plunging in deep.

So at the time, I wanted nothing that had to do with the word love, it was just too much; he left me gasping for air, my heart tightly in his clutch.

I vowed to give up on love that day,
But then suddenly my thoughts on love were turned the other way.

I didn't see it coming; of course I wasn't even prepared,
The surprisement I felt could never even be compared.

Catching me by surprise and completely off guard,
I just didn't expect to fall for him so hard.

Oh and did I fall, all too well,
My heart I thought was in for destruction; was in for hell.

But soon you caught my fears, and put them in a jar.
You tightly sealed them, and in the ocean let it drift afar.

I realized I was scared for no reason at all,
Because way harder for me did you fall.

It was a strange thing, not something you usually see.
We were different than most couples; you and me.

We loved with a love that was so maddening so intense, so strong.
Everyone doubted and tried to prove that it was wrong.

But they don't understand, they don't have the slightest clue,
The love between us was all too real, and way to true, for anyone except god to destroy forever, out of the blue.

The love between us was both a miracle as it was a curse,
So maddening, so intense, could only get better as we suffered for the worst.

Our love kept us standing through the toughest time, holding hands we stood.
We never knew of love, but standing there we both understood.

This was meant to happen; this was supposed to be,
You and I were suppose meet, you were supposed to save me.

I was meant, to help you stand,
You were meant to give me a helping hand.

Faith some called it, others say it's destiny,
Whatever it is Jan I'm glad God gave you to me.
