The Flight of Music

The lyrics fill my head,
helping me escape-
escape the stress,
escape the world-
leaving everything behind.
I grow my own wings,
and take flight-
breaking the chains surrounding me-
the chains full of insecurities,
of shyness
of anxiety.
Nothing can weigh me down-
no rules,
no hurtful words,
no adults.
I create a world,
that no one else can see.
Just me.
Myself.
And I.
