I look at you through jealous eyes.
I have it all, but am too scared to lose it.
Stay away from me. I will trap you.
If I like you, you’re better off without me.
I’m an ugly knot of misused trust and confusion;
Caught between man and beast.
I’ve got the gaze to pull you in
And the claws to hold you there.
Suffocation by fixation
Equals lust minus the luster.
This bull has reared its ugly head. Yet
You stay. Why?
This is what I do not know.
