"Life isn’t about how to survive the storm, it’s about learning to dance in the rain.” — Taylor Swift

when I see you
I wonder if you
remember me

I want to tell you
how much I miss you

but I don’t miss you

I just need

an end

I need closure

we used to be best friends
I wonder if you
remember when
we used to be best friends

I do

when I see you
I want to tell you that I need to know why
I need to know why you left

do you remember me
when you look at me
do you remember us

I’m losing my memories of you
sometimes I see you
I think you’re just another person

but you’re not

do you see me and think about when
we were friends
or do you see just another person

don’t misunderstand
I don’t want to be friends
I just want to know

why

please tell me why

remember our innocence
when we were young
best friends

please remember me

To me, this seems a bit stunted and drags on a little. However, the actual content is really deep and interesting. I can relate to it and I don't often relate to stuff :) Keep writing!

I like this poem. the sadness behind it shows a lot. It is a bit choppy. (but don't worry because we all write one of those occasionally) I think this poem shows the emptiness of forgetting a friend. The choppiness even helps the overall mood and the spacing/line segmentation is really well put together. It almost seems like a pausing, halting thought. I like this poem, it's not my favorite, but I like it. 4/5 stars
