The saffron sky,
the carmine clouds,
the coral colors,
everything was so beautiful.

Sadly, from my house
I can barely see
the sunsets,
there’s too many trees and other houses
blocking
the little I can sometimes see.

In Colombia
my grandparents house
is perfect
on top of a hill
higher than the trees,
you can always see the sunset.

One day
driving on a highway
we were going about 120 km/hr,
the sky was breath taking
prettier than the night sky
when there's a full moon.

Dashes
of red and orange
like a dart of paint
that hit bullseye
and splattered
into a lovely mess.

I tried to take a picture
but it just wasn’t the same
my phone
couldn’t capture the moment,
I still have a picture though
in my mind.

The saffron sky,
the carmine clouds,
the coral colors.

I blink
and the sky turns grey
everything is dull again with
trees in the way,
nothing to see,
why couldn't it stay longer?

I wish I could go back.

Where there is desire, there is gonna be a flame,
Where there is a flame someone's bound to get burned.
Just because it burns doesn't mean you're gonna die,
You've got to get up and try.

This is an enchanting poem. I couldn't take my eyes off as you had luered me into reading more and more. I could clearly paint an absolutely beautiful picture in my mind as I have felt the same longing to be back in a beautiful place; such as a vacation. I love the words used to describe the sunset as they were unique; unknown to me which caused me to think. Very beautiful writing; you should be very proud.
