"We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars" -Oscar Wilde

Send my dreams to the gallows,
As desperate and forlorn as they may seem,
What has this wretched town offered me,
Other than what remains to be seen?

I no longer hear the hum of Cecilia,
And Luke is nowhere to be found,
I am a shadow of what I once was,
And I fear I have finally lost the precious sound.

Where there is desire, there is gonna be a flame,
Where there is a flame someone's bound to get burned.
Just because it burns doesn't mean you're gonna die,
You've got to get up and try.

This is a beautiful poem. Very simple and very meaningful continue to write!
