"If you believe that your dream already came true, it is easier to achieve it and harder not to make it happen."
-A.G.D. (Me)

How do I start?
Difficulty surpasses lips
Nothing to say
While others have plenty
My keyboard, paper and pencil
Have more of a mouth than my own
There is no sky in my mind;
My limits are marked by emotions

How do I start?
Lost for words even in the midst of the known
My life is marked by taciturn body language
It is not easy to show efficacy
In a battle on foreign territory

How do I start?
In the atmosphere of prodigies
With lips that know not the meaning of “párate”
With quicksand as my timer
And only a tattered rope to pull myself out

I am not the same as my socially built
counterparts
Yet I suppose I should have known that ….

Though I wish it wasn't true

An anthem of introverted and socially awkward, if not the anthem. Your wording is sublime. I thought of the word "taciturn" as I began, and sure enough there it was blinking at me once I reached that line. The emotion is delicate as well. It's not overwhelming, but anxious in a self-conscious mode. I love the repetition of the line "How do I start?": it added substance to entire poem. This is just me: I feel somewhat torn about the last line. I'm deliberating whether or not it is essential. But again, that's me. Congrats on the publication of this poem. Well deserved.
