"If you're ready doesn't matter, are you willing is my question"

I don't know how to explain how much I love you
If I could share that with you
I would

I know that growing up is hard
and not everybody is nice all the time

Don't let any of that bother you
Because I've seen what is inside your heart
and it is truly beautiful

I am excited to see what kind of impact you make on the world
with all of your beauty
and love
and intelligence
You can change the world

When people who you thought were nice
turn to evil
love them anyway

When the harshness of reality
hits you in the face
turn the other cheek

continue to show the world the love that is inside of you
and the beauty of a kind heart

I can't tell you how much you make me smile
laugh
and sometimes even cry tears of joy

there is something truly amazing in who you are
don't be afraid to let that shine

don't be afraid to be who you are and always remember
no matter what happens
you are loved
and you are important

This poem is about the oldest of my cousins, Mary Daley, and how I love her and how I can't wait to see who she becomes.
