Tears fill my eyes
As the sun sets in them
and the wind fills my lungs
as i get a faint smell of flowers
standing on this bridge
i asked myself how i got there
I took the road less traveled
Through the forest of thorns
At first running
Quickly realizing that's not the way
with every step a poke
every mile a cut
till my body is filled with them
leaving a bloody trail
back the way i came
back to an engrave path
tempted i stop
Would it be worth it?
Tho in pain i continue on
learning to bandage these wounds
on the way
eventually only leaving scars on my heart
