I fell for you in autumn,
drunk with the chilling winds.
Then it began; the heat of winter,
forever frozen in my memory.
And time was washed away by summer rain.

This perfume smells
of the beginning,
of days passed,
and of days that will never end,
the sweet aroma of time
we don't have left,
the memories we have yet to make,
and the items left on the list.

Yesterday, something ripped
you away from me.
Maybe it was that inevitable lifelong
difference.
We were destined to be apart.
But still,
something pulls us together,
stronger than the attraction
of north to south,
and keeps this love
spinning
endlessly
on.
