Sunlight gleaming off the ice as
metal scrapes across it.
Breezing over the translucent surface
brings a light to her pale eyes.
Opening her bundled arms, she flies
a white scarf as her wings.
Her bald head crinkles when she grins,
and for an instant
she isn't fighting anymore.
