We R Strong

Birds singing and children in school,
The bright sun was showing,
Moore Oklahoma
May 20th, 2013.
I run in horror as a swirling, black,
Wind of death destroying the home around me,
Destroying the life I once knew.
Seeing Briarwood torn apart,
Torn kids pictures littering the ground,
I turn back to see my home broken and dead.
My forest green truck virtually untouched,
With a plank of wood resting against it,
And a red can of spray paint.
All I can do is get on my knees and write is,
We R Strong,
We R Strong.
