Its a Long Time

Time
Why does everything in life feel so far away?
The clock ticks and tocks and my emotions feel frayed.
It feels as if time is just toying with me,
Oh, why can’t time just let me be?
I run so far away, yet I still hear the clocks…
Slow, never-ending tick-tocks.
I feel like I am chased by the never-ending time,
Sometimes I wish I could fall into a cold, quiet mine.
Sometimes I do fall into that mine,
But that still does not stop the insufferable, intolerable time.
I wish that life could turn on a dime,
That one day, peace and quiet could be mine.
