No one can make you feel inferior without your consent

Groaning, stumbling pain; racks my stomachs lining,
Dreadful, messy thoughts; my brain is truly whining.
Lungs about to burst, without a molecule of air,
Heart rate increasing, and yet no one seems to care.
Irrepressible shakes, flood the entirety of my skin,
A wave of direful worry; concern of what’s within.
Though yet; irresistible to my minds cruel game,
It seems the only control, to achieve lesser pain.

This poem is based on the effects of having a panic attack, and how I feel when having one.
