what if
we saw with our ears
tasted with our eyes
heard with our hands
felt with our nose
and smelled with our tongue

maybe that’s what its like
on another planet
or in another life

maybe that’s what it will be like
thousands of years from now

speaking with reality
probably not

imagining with our heart, though
maybe…

maybe we will have three arms
or candy will grow from
lamps

one can never predict the future
but we can remember the past

and so much has changed from the past
so why not the future
