"Tick-toc."

I cry myself to sleep late at night,
while hoping the bruises would heal.
When I wake I dress in a long sleeve, and jeans;
covering the scars memories leave.
A home is no place to hide,
yet I find myself cowering on the corner of bed more than not.
Life isn't suppose to be a horror film, yet that's exactly the way it feels.
I wonder if you'll ever realize the reason I never leave my room- the bruises wont heal.
I'm to the point where I have no feel,
The blows and curses feel are like suffocation in your enemies arms.
I am just waiting for the day when you're hands surround my neck and suck the life outta me.
So as the clock goes
"tick-toc, tick-toc"
you'll know where to find me..
curled up into a ball,
waiting for my skin to turn white and melt....
