Pull me into your gravity, your gravity,
this moral cavity of inequity,
Dragging me in breathlessly,
my breathy voice heavy in your ear,
Here, all is clear, and we’re only young,
we only become the devils within ourselves just once.
You convinced me to fall into this renaissance of relations,
so there I lay in the rays of shadowing sunlight,
the sun pulling in the rotation of our unearthly orbits,
the purpose a mere inevitable physical ending.
Mass attracts mass, don’t ask me why,
we cannot try to shy away from
the shameless blame we threw on each other’s back
sides formed and eyes watched
as we unlocked and expelled the key.
Find me in your gravity.
No need for control as I feel whole when my holes are sewn up,
If only I had known you would never
step down from the thrown of the grown amateur.
Now the maturity of the once-upon-a-time purity haunts my body,
Yet I still find security in your grip of the openings of my mind,
Consistently unwinding, unzipping, slipping your soul between my sheets,
And the sweet smell retells our story over and over.
The composure of our exposure made it all worthwhile,
And so with a smile, I will walk away from our years of exploration.
There is no explanation for our acts; the facts don’t speak for themselves,
Because although mass attracts mass,
The fact is, I don’t know why I followed your meandering train tracks.
Let me permeate, let me penetrate, let me educate you
And illustrate to you how much I want to remain a part of you.
You’ll walk away from me eventually,
The sensuality of our hours licking your lips.
But really it was the script we read that gives me the dread of seeing you walk away,
Remembering all those days,
where we blazed through the haze of each other’s minds.
In time you’ll find that I might just become a memory,
Never knowing if it was quite right to ignite the flames of our secret games.
But I’ll forever remain in your gravity,
so if one day you feel the chains of the earth caressing your heart,
Please remember, that’s me.
